International Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS)

The CLP program is continually crossing international boundaries and has become the standard of excellence around the globe. From the Canadian Finance & Leasing Association (CFLA) in Canada to the UCLS Program in Ukraine and Moldova, the CLP Program in the United States is the leader in equipment leasing and financing certification.

No one company or institution owns the CLP or CLS (Certified Leasing Specialist) designation. Any country interested in having an internationally recognized, comprehensive and well rounded certification program to compliment their growing economy can look to partner with the CLP Foundation.

The CLP Foundation envisions an equipment leasing and finance industry that is self-governed in accordance with the highest possible standards of professionalism and ethical conduct. The Foundation further envisions broad scale acknowledgement of the Foundation’s commitment to this ideal as well as the commitment of individual industry professionals who have been formally certified by the Foundation.

The CLP Foundation exists to:

  • Define and promulgate standards for professionalism and ethical practices in the equipment leasing and financing industry.
  • Encourage attainment of superior levels of individual professional development through education, general involvement and service within the Industry.
  • Propagate awareness, respect and trust throughout the industry, the general public and government, for the Foundation and its Professional Certification program.
  • Establish the Certified Leasing Professional (CLP) designation as the preeminent credential throughout the world for professionals who have demonstrated exceptional competency and exemplary ethics through their business practices, continuing education and dedication to the industry.
