What's Next?

The CLP Foundation is present at events across the country and throughout the year.

Please reference this section frequently to find out about Training Events in your area as well as Conferences at which CLP Foundation will be exhibiting. If you are already a CLP or if you are finance professional considering certification, please be sure to stop by the booth.

Examinations are held in various parts of the country however with enough advance notice the Foundation will come to you by assisting with scheduling an exam proctored by a CLP at a location close to the candidate and at time convenient for both the proctor and candidate. The Foundation also offers prescheduled exams to coincide with conferences held by the various industry associations such as NEFA and NAELB. The exam consists of four (4) parts, 90-150 minutes per section.

CLP’s are encouraged to obtain additional education and consistently strive to improve their professional competency. Although CLPs should remain active in the leasing industry and earn CPE credits toward recertification there are additional ways to earn CPE credits. Some examples: conducting the CLP Review courses, participation in the Mentor Program, industry training, industry association membership, participation and industry contributions (such as being active on association committees, serving as an officer/director of an industry association, making literary contributions to industry publications, etc.).
