Make Your Voice Heard - Get Involved

The committees are responsible for generating new ideas and the support to see them become reality. A committee may, depending upon its charter and specific needs, have a number of subcommittees to help divide the activities into more manageable chunks. CLPs are encouraged to take the opportunity to get involved and help advance the CLP Vision.

Nominating Committee

Responsible for choosing nominees among those CLPs in Good Standing to stand for election to open positions on the CLP Board of Directors for the years 2012 & 2013.

The Board of Directors is comprised of 11 CLP volunteers, five elected and six appointed by the two supporting industry associations: NAELB and NEFA.  Elected Directors serve for a two-year term.

Education and Exam Committee

This committee is the keeper of the Body of Knowledge, maintains the Mentor Program and is responsible for continual update of the CLP Handbook. The Education Committee also oversees updates to the CLP Exam based on feedback from exam takers and exam graders. Work on generating a bank of exam questions for future exams in conjunction with Handbook updates. Additionally they determine what workshops, presented at association meetings, qualify for CPE's.
